This is my first painting of the day at Augusta Shores paint out. Love painting here. The reflections that day in the water were amazing! This piece is currently for sale during the Augusta Pleinair Event. Come to Augusta Missouri and enjoy the art, wine, food and beautiful views. So today I painted from the covered patio because of the weather. This little guy decided to join me, especially since I was supplying nuts and sunflower seeds. I love when wildlife stops for portraits. I am doing pastels for my daily paintings leading up to my Augusta Pleinair trip as I need to pack the oils. Today, though cold, was a delightful day of painting with my little wildlife friend.

This day's work started out at Little Blue Trace and after wiping down the initial painting, I started again. I got a good start on some water but it was getting late so did a sketch instead for that day's daily painting, The next day I went out to my favorite marsh in Lake Jacomo and was able to bring this to fruition.

I got today’s daily painting accomplished early. Trying to do two today to practice for the frenzied pace of the upcoming plein aire event. Wish me luck.

Today's daily painting is from a photo I took during the 2016 Augusta Mo Plain Aire Event along the Katy Trail. This view was down the hill from Augusta by the entrance to the Trail across the street from the bicycle rental shop. I can't wait to visit this location again and see how nature has changed it.
