Serenity Among the Lillies

This painting was done in the studio from a plein aire painting done and sold during the Stems Plein Aire Event at the Overland Park Arboretum.   Using photos of the scene and photos of the plein aire painting, I created this painting.  The title is based on my feelings and emotions of the day, the place and the serene atmosphere that was experienced in that spot on that day.  Hope it brings you serenity too.
This painting took second place in painting at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph,. MO.
